Time: 6:30pm – 8pm
These 90 minute sessions follow AIDA safety standards and guidelines, creating an environment that prioritises responsible freediving, proper supervision, and respect for personal limits. While self-led, every session is built around a strong safety culture, ensuring all participants train effectively and responsibly.
What to Expect
Our sessions are ideal for freedivers who want regular pool access to maintain and develop their skills alongside like-minded divers. You will not be guided by our instructor/s during these sessions but you’ll be training with a buddy ,within a framework that mirrors AIDA’s approach to safe and progressive freediving.
Key Requirements
To join, all participants must:
- Provide a copy of your AIDA 2 Pool (equivalent/higher) certification
- Provide a copy of your valid freediving insurance (covering personal injury and third-party liability)
- Be medically fit to freedive and have signed and return the AIDA Medical Statment (new medical statments required annually)
- Always train with a dedicated safety buddy
- Have read the Safety Standards and Guidelines (link below & forms/quiz sent upon booking)
No breath-hold is ever performed alone. The buddy system is mandatory at all times. If you don’t already have a training partner, you’ll be able to join our WhatsApp group, where members coordinate sessions and find buddies in advance.
Train Within Your Level
These sessions are not for pushing beyond your certification limits. You must:
- Train strictly within your current certification and experience level
- Avoid attempting personal bests or advanced protocols outside your qualification
- Progress to the next AIDA course before increasing your training load
Anyone seen exceeding their level or ignoring safety practices may be asked to leave the session.
